Hello! I'm back from my glorious holiday on the wonderful island that is Grenada! I spent two wonderful weeks on the island with my family including my brother who came back from lovely Wales just to see us, really, I don't know how he could possibly want to leave Wales for the Carribean (I kid, I kid...Wales is nice). Anyway, that aside..no wait...not that aside, I feel like I should mention Dani and Ellie - two lovely people I met on holiday, which is rare for me, but they really were fantastic company for the week they were there and I hope I see both of them again soon! Oh...and before we leave that subject, Dani is a brilliant up and coming musician with a really unique (in a great way) style and I feel I should mention her MySpace page, check it out..I know you'll like it! (if you don't then...leave...go away...now...GO!). Go there now 'cos I know you'll forget later (but remember to come back here after) http://www.myspace.com/danihawkyard. Ok, now I'm well and truly done on the holiday front. I've got a German course coming in next week then I'm back to college for my final term...yay for that and boo for exams! I will...and I mean I will finish the 361st to 365th Random act of Kindness before the summer so I can finally publish the list of all 365 for y'all to read, cos I know how much you want to! Anyway...what else...hmmmm...the banjo is coming along well...one of the strings is buggered...and it's being repaired..by me atm. Anything else...oh yeah...guess what's back due to popular demand...The OliHaydon.com Pose! Do it now, right now, you know what to do - Look up to the right and both index fingers in the air with thumbs sticking out and a smile on your face...DO IT! Anyway, I should get back to making a new banner...cos that's how exciting my life really is. Bye now!

Let's finish what we started...
Hello everybody! Sorry as always for not postinghere as often as I should especially with record numbers of site visitors! I've been busy organising things, designing stuff and working hard as always but I've also figured out I've got 28 RAoKs to go! Hopefully I should finish the journey before I go on holiday in the easter which would be immense. Anyway, check out the poll results, film reviews and ..of the week before you leave, and I'll keep you posted on how I'm getting on as I finish what we started a year ago...

I forgot to mention...
'Hi again, i just remembered that I forgot to mention my new year. I'm sure everyone really really wants to know what I did...well I spent it with some of the most wonderful people in the world, it was a little party hosted by a very good friend of mine, Sinead, who happens to be the best person in the world at doing parties. We went to the Harvester where Chris got deliberately burnt, I had some jelly with an umbrella in it with the weakest alcoholic drink ever and Jack had simply way too much salad. Overall it was an amazing night full of popcorn, sex tips from a magazine and a strange black truncheon. It was the best new years I've ever had and probably ever will have. Thanks Sinead and everyone else for making it so brilliant!!

It's 2008! I've got 50 RAoKs to do! and It's raining!!
Hello!! I'm going ot keep this short so as not too keep you from doing far more important things with your life. Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a brill Christmas, mine just involved being with the family again and eating way too much. As I expected I didn't finish my 365 RAoKs on New Years Day due to various reasons for me not doing one a day, so I hope to finish mid-March since I have about 50 to go. When I do finish the 365th I'll be making a new page listing every one I did so you can all have a look-see. I've started to learn the Banjo out of sheer sponpaneity and it's been great fun so far, I'm no...umm...Slim Lightfoot yet but I'm on my way to the Bluegrass top. I've also started to Rate my Day every day using a genious little site called...iratemyday.com, It gives me a little graph of all my ratings which for all you OliHaydon.com veterans will remember me doing myself in the early days. I can't really think of anything else to say now, good luck with the rest of January and I'll be postin' real soon to make sure you don't miss me! Thanks guys and gals! Oli x

Take my advice, this weekend, go to France.
Hello! Sadly, I've had no news so far as to whether or not I've taken over the world...Oh well, you win some you lose some. Anyway, I remember that a couple of weekends ago, My dad spontaneously decided that we would wake up at 6am on Saturday and go to France for the weekend. So we did, and we had an amazing day! We took the car and drove along the north coast from Calais to the Belgian Border, saw the beaches of Dunkirk, the V2 Launch base at Saint Omer and stopped off for a coffee near Bolougne-sur-mer, before heading back on the Eurotunnel with a boot full of alcohol. I really recommend doing something like that one weekend in the future, it only cost us £40 to get across the Channel and back, here are some pants phone pictures of our amazing Saturday:

Radio yesterday, newspaper today, tomorrow...the World!
I don't know how, but I've now ended up in the newspaper, I'm not sure which one but I'll try to find someone who would've kept the article so I can have a look at what its all about. Very cold today, tomorrow very cold aswell, that concludes Oli's blog entry for today, and the weather report sponsored by Olihaydon.com!

Oli killed the Radio Star...Or Something else better.
Hello! I'm bored right now, I've had a boring week pretty much, been doing the occasional RAoK and now I'm on number...334 I think. I was on BBC South Counties Radio on Monday talking about the RAoKs and trying my best to follow orders of plugging St Georges. I just wanna get something straight, I don't do these RAoKs for any sort of fame, I'm not doing it for myself, I'm not doing it because I'm selfish and I get a high, I'm doing it because its a challenge and its a worthwhile challenge. If it was my choice, I wouldn't have anyone else know about them apart from here. I'll update the site more at the weekend, we've got the Christmas Ball on a boat on the Thames which I've been organising, I hope it goes well and nobody drowns. Thanks!
Here is is...THE INTERVIEW

Back on the RAoKs!!
I'm finally getting back to doing one RAoK a day, I'm now on....Number. 232, I wrote a funny postcard to a Canadian Soldier, Made someone feel good about themselves, Sent someone random a friendly text and several other things I can't think of right now. That is all that really mattered to me this 22nd November 2007, I'm Oli and You've just been Oli'ed in...hmm..I should really find a better thing to say at the end of each post...Any ideas?

I Have a New Room! YES!
Hello everyone! This is Oli! I am writing this...in my NEW bedroom! WOOOO! It's actually my brothers old one but seeing as he is sadly 'Missing presumed in Wales' so I have taken over! Here it is in all its glory:
Yeah...Loving the spottiness aren't ya? I've been busy as usual, getting slowly colder and colder as the gentle beast that is Winter takes its powerful grip over our little island (Ooo..wow...that was very Poetic for me..). Anyway, I've been trying to organise this Christmas Ball for the college...which I have done..and is slowly approching (1st December). the Europe page is taking longer than I thought to do..Oh well, that is all that matters to me this 18th November 2007, this is Oli, and you've just been Oli'ed in...Kinda works better with the name Phil...meh, who cares!

You are never too old for Halloween...
BOOOOOO! It's halloween today yay! I'm feeling depressed 'cos I didn't go trick or treating or do anything halloweeny as a matter of fact, all I saw was a completely awful film (see Oli's Film Reviews). Been busy planning the Christmas Ball for St George's College, we're trying to get it on a boat...but its proving tricky with tides..and fish and other nautical terms like that. I've grown accustomed to Jelly Tots and it proved to be a worthwhile investment buying a packet today as it helped me accomplish a Random act of Kindness. Started the Europe page today but it's getting late and I'll have plenty of time to do it at the weekend. Going to MPH in London on Sunday, which is some motor showwy thing I'm sure i'll be able to tell you about on Sunday evening. Anyway, I best be off to bed, I'm tired...Thanks for reading and comment if you love me!

New Pages, Old Design, Same Oli!
Hello! Guess who's decided to fire up the old site again. Yes, ME! I've added a BRAND NEW page, devoted to my Europe trip where you can see the best pics and what we both thought of each country and city and other fun stuff too! Otherwise, not much has been happening - Been getting back to the old routine of wake up, go to school, do work, go to bed...but hey! I'm not complaining! The RAoKs are going miserably slowly, going about one every two weeks is simply appauling and I'll try my best to complete 365 by sometime in the early months of next year. I tried my best to do some in Europe, but without the book and without knowing most of the languages, it was tricky - I think now, I've done about 210...in 288 days which isn't that bad...
...What else has been happening..Ooo yeah, In a few weeks I'm going to go and see 'Yobi, the five tailed fox' at the London Film Festival so watch out for a pretty unique review in the film review section! Speaking of films, in Europe I had no chances to see any of the blockbusters this summer had to offer so I've haven't had a chance to review them, but I will still be visiting the cinema to see the..less blockbustery films the glorious British winter has to offer. That's all I can think of to mention now, I'm ill at the moment which is pants, but it does give me a chance to finally update the site. Now, i need to get started on the rest of this place... Thanks for reading and please comment if you want...(?!)...I really enjoy reading what the several people that visit this site have to say...Oh, and vote in the poll...which is back!

Oh Dear..I'm not very good at this website malarchy.
Hello! My name's Oli! I hope you didn't forget about me! Don't worry, I didn't break a leg or lose my computer...I just have been too busy enjoying my life. Not that I would ever forget about my glorious blog readers, I just...prefer lying in the sun than I do writing my blog. Ok...Where to start. Oh ok, right - My fundraising for the Great North Run is going fantastically! I'm so close to my target of £500 and I wanted to take the time to really thank everyone that's sponsored me so far! I'm just hoping I won't let you down on the 30th September.
As you can probably see I've kinda changed the site a bit - It allows people to realise that I'm back in business with the blog and reviews and stuff. Oh yeah, that reminds me - I haven't just been slacking on the site, I've been missing out my regular cinema visits - I've only seen one film since I last posted which is mega dissapointing, but come September, I'll be back on track with them. I've now adopted a thing with my brother that we will rent a movie once a week but I won't bother putting those reviews up on here. Unless you really want me to...
What else..Oh - On Tuesday next week I'm going on holiday to France...and Spain...oh and Italy,Monaco,Switzerland,Czech Republic,Germany,Luxembourg,Belgium, The Netherlands,Denmark,Sweeden, Norway, Poland, San Marino and Liechtenstein...Oh and Vatican City - Yes it's my summer Europe trip with my brother - We have 44 days to do what we like in Europe, as long as it's near a station! I'll post a MEEEEGGGGAAAA blog when I get back...I might just make a new Europe page on the site so as not to clog up the blog!
I can't really think of anything else...Oh OF COURSE! How could I possibly forget, the entire reason I have this blog...My Random Acts of Kindness! Yep - Even though the site has been quiet, the kindness has still been flowing - I won't list every single on I'll just put some of my favourites...I'm probably on around number...190 - I'm not completely on track but I'll just have to run into January next year a bit...Ok - so what have I been doing...well, I:
-Carried a lady's shopping from the station to her house (then gave it back)
-Unnecessarily thanked someone
-Stroked a cat
-Plant a flower in someone else's garden
-Put the toilet seat down after using it
-Made sure someone didn't skip breakfast
-Handed the man who worked in a car park shed a packet of Wine Gums
- Wrote a cheery 'Hello' on a banknote, then spent it.
-Tidied up for the cleaner
and - Lent an ear (took a while to actually work out how to do that...surely it's just listening..)
Anyway, I think that will do. I'm off now - I'll see you soon!

Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
It's raining...yuck!I had a lovely chilled out day yesterday - Had a nice lie in then went to the pub with bro and dad for yummy pub lunch, back here for the gym and some food shopping. Chatting to mates on MSN and had a BBQ cos it was a lovely evening. Gotta revise for my German exam which I have tomorrow, oh well - Atleast the weather isn't distracting me!

The name's Smith, Paul Smith
Hello! I'm 17 now! Hooray! Sorry for not posting I've just had a couple of exams over the past few days but I'm back on track for a while now. My german oral went swimmingly and I am so happy thats it's over again for another year! My other exams were also pretty easy but it kinda sucked having them on my birthday. I was pleasantly suprised when quite a lot of people knew it was my birthday on friday - Someone even made me some yummy brownies to have after the exams which I shared around as much as I could! I got some brill pressies - Lots of cash for the Summer Europe Trip with my bro, a Sony DSC-T50 Touch screen digital camera, some smelly aftershave and lots of other funky things. Today I went to Portsmouth with my brother (Gunwharf Quays again), to get some more clothes mainly for Europe. I went in my favourite shop of my favourite designer, Paul Smith and got some nice shirts as well as my first ever pair of jeans! Got home and watched some Red Dwarf in my sweet free standing hammock my brother got me, had fish and chips for tea and now just chatting to people on MSN. No plans for tomorrow, apart from cleaning my room. Have a nice day!

Bro's Birthday and the Dreaded Oral!
Quick post today since i'm going out to dinner with the parents and my bro. I've got my most feared exam of them all tomorrow - the German Oral. Hopefully it won't be too bad, and a good old kiss of the lucky duck should gimme a hand! Hope you all had a great day!

What a lovely day!
I've just had a lovely day! I usually despise tuesdays but this one was different! Firstly, in the morning I had to speak in assembly about the sixth from council and a toilet that students had been blocking causing major floods. I took the gamble of trying to make a joke - To my relief it worked perfectly! I then had a wonderful series of lessons all topped off with a fantastic present from a fantastic friend at school who wanted to show how much they appreciated my RAoKs - It was quite funny since we both thought we hated each other for some reasons cos texts I sent to them and texts they sent to me didn't actually come through (turns out she had a different Oli on her phone to who she was sending all these texts hehehe). Then I had a pretty boring prefect meeting and then went to play Timesplitters with 2 great m8s for a good hour and a bit - then home to fish pie and not much work! Lovely! Oh and to start of the RAoKs, I gave some people some big bars of chocolate as they were looking particularly hungry at the time. Tomorrow, I'll decide there and then! Wow it's good to be back!
Posted @ 20:47:00 on 15 May 2007 back to top
WOW! Been away a long time!
Hello again! You've probably noticed that I haven't posted a blog entry for about 3 weeks now. There is no complex reason as to why this is - It's pretty simple, I've just been busy with school stuff - Prefect things, council things and overall lots of work everywhere. I've still be doing random acts of kindness and I'm not getting back on track to doing one a day - I've got some people some pretty sick birthday presents which kinda count as RAoKs but I think just being a nice person everyday counts as a pretty big RAoK, but anyway - I'm back to the book now. I got my place in the BUPA Great North Run, running for a fabulous charity called CLIC Sargent - Caring for children with cancer and I'll be raising money for them in the near future in the run up (literally) to the big race. Not else much has happened, it's my birthday on Friday which I'm not really looking forward to simply because I have my German Oral the day before and a geography and critical thinking exam on the friday - Going to Portsmouth at the weekend though which should be great fun and getting closer to organising the 18 country trip around Europe in the summer with my brother, But first, exams out the way, only then I can start to think about the joys of summer. Oh - and today I got my early b-day pressie from my best m8 at St Georges, he got me a membership to the British Film Institue, which for you may sound kind of anorakky but for me it's the best present I could possibly imagine from a friend - Thanks again Dave! (www.pickupmusic.co.uk) As always, it's great to see that people have still been visiting Olihaydon.com despite the lack of...stuff.
Thanks again guys!
Oli
Oh and the ...of the week and the film review section has been and will now start to be updated as usual!

The Training has Begun!
Sorry for not posting over the weekend, had a pretty busy one - Went to Guildford and got lots of pressies for upcoming birthdays, spent the evening at home and did some work...exciting I know. Sunday was the day, the day that I decided to do something I never thought I'd ever do - I am going to train to run a marathon! So, naturally I went to the gym first thing then into Woking to look for some running shoes and Blister-Resistant socks...I couldn't find any. The Great North Run is the biggest, most popular Half Marathon in the world - It begins in Newcastle and stretches over 13.1 miles through the city. To get a place you either have to enter your name into a ballot, which I am too late for - So now, it's down to the places that charities are given to give out to people who apply to run for them, agreeing to raise a set amount of money for that charity. I've been in contact with The British Heart Foundation and am currently waiting anxiously for a letter of response to my application. If I do get a place, then I'll have 21 weeks to train for the run which takes place on the 30th September, if not then I'll try to enter other ones - It's not a big deal.
It's monday evening now and I've just returned from my first outdoor run in my training programme. The programme I am using is called OnTrack and it gradually trains you for 20 weeks to run a distance you set - I obviously set 13.1 Miles.
Oh, and a tent arrived for me today! It's one I ordered for the Isle of Wight festival and it is pretty cool - It's like...a professional...pop-up tent...hehe...
Tomorrow is a day of rest in my programme, which is good because I have a prefect meeting and the cinema will start up again tomorrow with the winner of "Best Foreign Film" at the oscars, the german film - The Lives of Others.

Sun, Scuba and Suprises...
Back from St Lucia! Not going to bore you with a day-to-day record of what I did during my stay but I'll give you the low down. Flight there was alright and saw some pretty good films, arrived at the airport but our hotel has been over booked so we were transfered to a far better, more upper class and brilliant hotel caled The BodyHoliday at LeSport - It's a sort of Spa with free treatments everyday and a massive range of activities to do. I had a fantastic time and did some really great stuff - Like Scuba Diving which was amazing (never done it before) and I'll be completing the PADI Scuba Diver Course - If you haven't already done Scuba Diving I really really recommend. I also did Tubing,Kayaking,Sailing,Swimming,Walking,Fencing,Archery,Hydrotherapy had a massage and ate loads.
Yeah, as well as taking a nice long trip around the island by Bus then next to the island by Sea it was a fantastic holiday! I also did some Random Acts of Kindness when I had a chance, I gave a refreshing Fruit Punch to a sweaty looking gardener who had to work out in the midday sun, stroked a cat, gave some useful advice, got to know somebody a little bit better, smile and say Hello to everyone you see, let someone borrow something of yours that you usually wouldn't and compliment someone on their choice of dinnerwear.
Now that I'm back - I will get back to trying to complete one a day - Today I donated a little bit of money to the Virginia Tech memorial fund who are raising money to help the families who lost loved ones and erect a memorial in the college campus.

This made me realise that after doing these for 3 or 4 months, I am currently on Random Act of Kindness Number 94. This means later this month I will be performing RAoK No.100! I still have to decide on something worthwhile for this landmark event. I've emailed Danny, and the members of Extreme Kindness on some ideas and they have yet to reply. I would also really like your ideas for RAoK No.100 so just fill in the simple form on the new page called RAoK No.100.

Portsmouth and Pushing!
Yesterday, My brother and I got up early ot catch the train down to Portsmouth Harbour - We arrived by mid-morning and begun our search for some suitable clothes for holiday, as well as enjoying a Subway lunch and seeing 300 at the massive cinema complex at Gunwharf Quays. It was a really sunny day once we got down there and I was having too much of a great time to even consider RAoKs.
Today, I woke up early again to catch the train, this time into Guildford to get some final bits and bobs for the holiday. I ended up doing 3 RAoKs, as well as being pretty generous in getting a birthday present, some sweets for my brother and the ingredients to a Cheer Up box I was preparing for a friend who was feeling a little down. RAoK No.1 was giving a proportionally heavy amount of change to a charity street collector - Luckily there was about 10 elderly people dotted around the place collecting for Alzheimer's Care and Research, and the man seemed pretty happy to give me 3 Stickers after I slipped the crisp £10 note into his bucket.

RAoK No.2 - This was just repeating history because when getting myself a sausage roll from the West Cornwall Pasty Company, I decided to buy an extra one and with the absence of the Big Issue Man, it was just the Golf Sale Sign Man who was lucky enough to recieve this hearty lunch - He was speechless apart from asking "Free?", to which I replied, ''Of Course''. RAoK.3 - This was completely unplanned but on my way back to the station, I was on the large island after one set of traffic lights and before another when an elderly lady waiting at the lights got out of her Ford Focus and hurried over to 2 guys I was standing next to who were also waiting to cross - She explained that her car had broken down at the lights and she needed some help to get it out of the way, so the 2 guys identified a drive just after the lights and decided to push the car into that drive with the elderly womansteering the car. The guys turned to me and said "Wanna lend a hand mate?", to which I simply said "Sure". I stupidly left my bags lying on the ground and joined the two other guys at the back of the Ford, we heaved the car forward and once we got it going it was easy to keep moving - The elderly lady was a bit of a worry in the drivers seat and we only just missed a bus passing the other way. We rolled the car into the drive and she thanked us many times before phoning RAC to come and lend a hand.
In my opinion, a kindness filled day - To make up for yesterday's slacking. Pfft! What was I thinking sacrificing RAoKs for my own fun.

Berlin!
Back! Been pretty ill for the past 2 days with some sort of horrible cold/flu thing. Hope it goes by Sunday when I go on Holiday. Berlin was Amazing! I don't want to bore my readers with a long reinactment of what happened on the trip so I'll try to keep it short. The very early wake up was not the best start to the trip but once we got going it seemed less and less of an annoyance. We arrived in Berlin for lunch and after a yummy meal at the hostel we went on our first excursion to the Jewish Museum/Checkpoint Charlie and a mega big undercover cinema/shop/restaurant complex before having a snack at Dunkin' Donuts then back to the hostel for bed.
The next day, we left early and went to a sort of Island of Galleries, much like the l'Ile de Cite, in Paris. We wandered round some galleries with the Art students then split off to do our own thing (the German peeps). We ended up having a brilliant day - The sun shone all day as we had a delicious meal at the KeDeWe (department store), seeing the bombed out church, going to a massive palace and sitting by a lake enjoying the sun, visiting the Holocaust Memorial, and seeing the Bugatti Veron at the Bugatti Garage, before heading back the hostel for dinner, then heading onto the Brandenburg Gate to see it lit at night.
On sunday we spent the majority of the day at the Reichstag and seeing the amazing view at the top of the dome. We had another fantastic meal by the Holocaust memorial before heading back to the Hostel to catch the plane back to England.
I've left out SO much detail here but I wouldn't want you to get too jealous of the great time we had. I've added some photos to the bottom of the blog so you can have a quick glimpse at our stay in Berlin.
Oh, and as far as RAoK's go, I bought 2 burgers and 2 bottles of water for a german homeless man and his dog and I took back someone elses tray as well as mine at the cantine, both things were in the book.

Absent Adventures
I'm back and so is OliHaydon.com! I have to sincerely apologise to all my blog readers but I've just been SO Busy with...well...stuff. Last weekend, I was in the glorious county of Shropshire on a geography fieldwork trip. It was a brilliant weekend and everyone that went had a fantastic time, I had the pleasure of sharing my room with 3 of the greatest people on earth...kinda - While everyone in the other rooms were having a...<cough-cough> "good time", we were in our room, eating Fruit Pastilles, playing cards and discussing movies - I still think we had the best room there. The geography part of the trip wasn't too bad, Shrewsbury which we visited on Saturday is a very nice town and having lunch on the banks of the river Severn in the hot sun was a wonderful experiance. On sunday, we went to do the physical part of the fieldwork - We went to a river called Ashes Hollow to do some simple tests, it snowed and was SO Windy, but because we were all having such fun, it was over before it began.
The past week has been pretty quiet, simple catching up lost work - Getting ready for the Berlin Trip this weekend and attempting to fit in some RAoKs, i've only done afew this week - I complimented a large woman and got to know a little bit more about someone, I wanted to do some in Shropshire but I didn't have the courage to "let someone keep the change", so I'm gonna try to get atleast 5 done in Berlin to make up for lost time.
I'm at home today sadly due to a nasty cough and sore throat, it gives me a chance to pack for Berlin and update olihaydon.com with a new design (as you can see) and update the film reviews section to include a sub-menu, as well as updating ..of the week and ofcourse the blog.
I have a very early start tomorrow morning which I'm not looking forward to but I think the trip to Berlin will make up for it, the place we are staying at looks fantastic and even if the trip isn't too good, we get back to the UK with 2 days of school left - Plus I've got a Damien Rice concert on Tuesday which should be...interesting!
Anyway, got to have lunch now, then a haircut (for St Lucia) and then I'm going to pack. The next entry will be on Monday when I return to the UK, be sure to check back then for what should be some pretty good photos!

Marmite Delight!
Sort of did two RAoKs, today - I both, sent the letter to an old teacher of mine at my first school - He was my geography teacher and without him I probably wouldn't have wanted to go geography GCSE,AS,A level and onto Uni...I also gave two people a jar each of Guinness Marmite - This is the limited edition Marmite that has been released for St Patrick's Day, this saturday. They were both really suprised that I had got it for them as they couldn't find it anywhere - The website I got it off was www.distantbrits.co.uk. I am going to Shropshire for a long weekend Geography Trip so no blog entry till Monday - I will try to do some RAoKs while there though...

Mr Site down and more hot days!
I'm back from an agonising one day without being able to get onto my site as the most was performing some maintenance. It's been really nice weather for the past few days but I think the weather for the Geography trip to Shropshire looks pretty dire. Not being doing complete RAoKs really, I helped someone out with some work which I know they really appreciated - I congradulated someone on becoming Prefect of the year to which he responded with a huge grin and for tomorrow I will be - Writing a thank you letter to someone in my past that has made a difference to my life.

Hottest day of the year (yes, It was today!)
It was officially the hottest day of the year so far. Pity I had no free periods and had to spend lunch time in the IT Room. I've got a business studies Mock exam and then a "Higher Education Evening" so no cinema - Not looking too forward to my day tomorrow to be honest...I've gotta start doing my RAoKs again aswell. I also stumbled upon this cool website - You just click on some pictures to answer some questions and you get a cool DNA thingy...Here is mine:

A nice Looooong walk...
Today was very nice! I woke up early (for a sunday) and went for a walk with my family - I think it was somewhere near Midhurst in Sussex. It was lovely all day and we had a nice picnic lunch near some SWANS! It was a tad long sand by the end I was ready to sit down with a nice cold Coke and watch the Rugby - Which we won! Then, I helped my dad put some golf clubs on eBay and am now going to watch Crufts then Castaway...

Plenty of Votes, Lack of People...
On friday, it was another very lovely day! I WON the Sixth Form Council Presidential elections which I am actually pretty chuffed about. Friday night I was busy doing the final formalities of the conga - Which, I should add, was mentioned on Heart FMs Breakfast Show!
The conga was really fun but the turnout was less than I'd hoped for - The music was a bit too quiet due to my poor choice of speakers and wearing longer than needed trousers caused several problems with people stepping on them and mucking up the coordination of the line. We raised a fair amount through merchandise sales, money on the day and sponsorship and I'll say we raised just over £100 - Which is very good in my opinion!

Results and Relief
Another really really nice day today - I sat outside in the sun for the majority of my double free. We had our results from our January Modules today - I got 90/90 in business studies which I was very pleased with...but I am thinking about re-taking it...just for fun! (joke...geez). The vote for the Sixth form council presidency was also today with the results being anounced tomorrow...That was about it - I gave someone a lovely loaf of bread that I was given as a peace offering from Dave (pickupmusic.co.uk) so I hope they enjoy that - Tomorrow's RAoK is another easy but pretty vague one - "Give everyone a little bit more than they ask for".

Secondly, No RAoKs for today as I've been so busy with work and campaigning to be president of the Sixth Form Council, the election is tomorrow so by Friday, I'll be back on track with the RAoKs...It was another very sunny day today and I'm planning on working all evening which is ognna be really fun. Saw The Illusionist yesterday and you can read my review of it in the Film Review section.

Mr Branson's Package - I hope he doesn't think it's spam(alot)
Very wet and windy day today, I sent Richard Branson his packet of smarties this morning via first class post (only the best for him!). After college, I went to a quiz with the 3 other people I went to the firts quiz with at Sir William Perkins School in Chertsey. We won the second of three quizzes and I think we have successfully gained a grasp onto the Youth Speaks Quiz Trophy. After this I needed to get to London to see the play "Spamalot". Not really knowing Chertsey I left the school and eventually found the station - To my luck there was a Waterloo bound train at the platform and with the next one arriving in 50 minutes, I couldn't help but hop on. The train trip was HUGE, there were about 15 stops and I eventually got to London with half an hour to spare before the play began. I should mention now that I had not been able to get a ticket for the train, I was hoping to get one on the train but the inspector didn't pass through the carriage.
So after getting off the train in Waterloo I made my way to the main concorse, then realised I had to get past the ticket inspectors at Waterloo, I thought - 'They probably sell them to you there', so I made my way towards the burly man inspecting travellers tickets,
"Tickets Please", he said.
"I don't actually have one, I didn't have a chance to get on at.."
"Where are you travelling from sir?"
"Clapham Junction", I have no idea why I said Clapham Junction...I actually don't..
"How did you get onto the train without a ticket, you have to pass through the barriers at Clapham Junction, where did you really get on, sir?"
"Ummm..." I knew I got on at Chertsey, I was improvising, which I proved very bad to be at as you will be, "Do you know Sir William Perkins School?"
"Where?"
"Sir William Perkins"
"No, where's that"
"Urm...I think its...Chertsey"
"Officer" the inspector gets the attention of a nearby police officer
"Yes"
"This lad says he got on at Clapham, then he said Chertsey, tell the officer your story lad"
"I left a college I had never been to before to get to London for half past 7 to go to see Spamalot, I got to the station and there was a train on the platform headed for Waterloo, so I decided to board it and hope to get a ticket on board, I couldn't so here I am"
"Now why the hell didn't you tell me that story in the first place son, I don't like when people lie to me"
"I'm really really sorry"
"Go on, get outta here"
"Thank you so much"
"Cheers, and don't let it happen again"
Scary stuff eh? Well it was for me...
Anyway - Spamalot is the West End Musical based loosely around Monty Python and the Holy Grail - I won't bore you with more reading , I just have to say it was fantastic! I didn't stop laughing from start to finish and if you are going to see any play this year, go and see this one!

Charing Cross Conga Calamity!
Sorry there was no post yesterday but I didn't really do anything worth mentioning - I went to the gym, had a swim, made some money, looked at Car Boot Sale locations, phoned 2 people from the Met about the Conga line...but they were out, organised the conga route, spoke to my dad, REorganised the conga route, bought 7 Red Noses and 4 RND T-Shirts, had a take-away and went to bed. Well, I suppose I did get up to quite a lot...Oh and "Instead of squishing a daddy-long legs, set it free and let it live for another glorious day", easy-peasy.
Today, I have a lot of work to do and it's raining. I am also sending a packet of smarties to Richard Branson as my RAoK, I thought with all the stuff about Sky TV and the Cumbria train crash, it would be the perfect thing to cheer him up.

Retreat from February and into March!
It was the 1st March Today, which means that it was also St David's Day in Wales! My retreat was really really good and a lot better than I thought it would be - My RND Posters came through the post so I'll get them ready to put up next week. My RAoK for tomorrow has yet to be decided.

5-A-Day...No Way!
Today It rained...a lot....I found a worthy candidate for my 5-a-day RAoK but he decided he would only eat 3 out of the 5 portions I offered him...some people! I also donated a healthy sum of money to a friend taking part in a BUPA Golf Day Fundraising thing...I would've put the money towards the conga anyway so atleast the money is going towards a good cause still. I'm going on a Retreat thing tomorrow, so I'll take a break from RAoKing, I suppose I did two today, oh and I have the daunting task of phoning the events and operations officer at Charing Cross Police Station about the Conga Line...Oh and I recieved a swift response from my Rwanda RAoK where I bought a dress for a mother in Rwanda, they sent me a postcard sized photo a woman in a dress and this little thing:
Which I thought was nice..I also recieved this is another piece of mail -
The picture of me is not accuratly drawn...but the poem seems pretty bang on in my opinion...wierd huh?

KitKat Paddy Wack, Give the girl a break...
I easily found someone that needed a break today, so I offered them the Foil Wrapped for Extra Crispiness KitKat and they accepted with glee...I was in a suprising good mood for a Monday, I hope my good mood continues throughout this week..tomorrows RAok...which I just did...I bought a dress for a mother in Rwanda - I did this through Goodgifts.org...
It was suprisingly good value, the cloth, paint and postage for only £12! and it creates work for local people in Rwanda and...It comes with a special easter bonnet!

No excuse...just nothing special
I'm sorry for not posting blogs over the past few days, as the title says - Nothing special has been happenening, any RAoKs that I did get round to doing were small and my plans for London this weekend have been moved to next weekend. I thought I'd spare you thr trouble about reading a blog that just says "Today it rained, I got wet, rain is wet...", this week I'll try much harder to give you something good to read - Starting with tomorrow's RAoK "Give someone a Kitkat who you think needs a break"...Perfect - Oli is back on track!

Weekend Plans - Dog,Flowers and Conga!
Even though it's only Wednesday, I couldn't help but put my weekend plans here for some reason - I am planning to go to London Zoo with the winner of the Pancake tortoise competition (it's name is Dog the Pancake Tortoise), but I am also going to do another few larger RAoKs - I am going to give a box of Quality Street to some bored looking shop workers, and buy a bunch of flowers and give them to the first person that looks a little down. Tomorrow I am going to compliment everyone I speak to atleast once and I counted the organisation of the Red Nose Day - London Conga that I did today as my RAoK for wednesday. Another thing I will be doing in London is putting some Posters around the place and some post-it notes on the tube advertising my London Conga on the 10th March.

A Not very Nice day.
I had a relatively normal day - It was good to catch up with people after the half term break and I was so caught up in this I didn't commit a RAoK. I have a chemistry unit 1 Mock to revise for now...so...yay! I have also taken up the challenge of having an extra RAoK on top of the daily one - Following the theme of yesterday's "If you like someone, make sure they know" - I will try to be doing this once everyday. Anyway - Tomorrow's RAoK is "Put an apple on a teachers desk" , oh and to make up for todays, I'll "Enter someone else into some competitions".

I went for a walk today!
I've finally finished my work - I postponed it to go for a walk with the family, which I never usually do. It was a great walk, lovely fresh air and I had a great time. Best of all, there was a tire swing, which was so very very good. I've just said to someone that I like them and explained why I did, hereby completing "If you like someone, make sure they know", back to the regular swing of things tomorrow so I better find some good RAoKs to do this week. Oh, and I bought a houseplant for my room!

RND '07 and Shopping RAoK
Finished setting up the Red Nose Day section of the site in the early hours of this morning - It replaces the Pancake Tortoise Contest page, the winner of which will be announced on Pancake Day (this tuesday). I hope you can come up with some ideas for RND and I'd really like to get something organised this year. I have been slacking abit with RAoKs and work - I got no work done today which is annoying as it means it all must be done tomorrow. I went to Cobham this afternoon for some food and I left a note saying "Hello, I hope you enjoy your shop" in the shopping list clipper on the trolley. I am going to watch the fantastically bad film that is Sahara now on Sky Movies 10HD so this is Oli, signing off, until tomorrow.

Oh, finally - My Karma's Army T-Shirt came today!
Oh...and I 'Hugged my mum for no reason whatsoever"...Only about 300 to go now...

The Big Brussels and Big Issue Blog!
I don't know where to start really - I had such a fantastic day today but I know you all really want to know about my trip to Brussels. I better do it in order of time, Brussels first.
My bro and I took the Eurostar from London Waterloo to Brussels Midi - I really really like travelling by Eurostar because it's simply so easy and fast. We arrived at the Hilton Brussels at around 3pm local time, not really knowing the city at all we went to look around and find somewhere for dinner - It began to rain after about 30 minutes of looking around and we decided to have dinner in the hotel.
The next day we woke up at...12...missing breakfast by 2 hours - So we quickly showered and dressed so as not to completly waste the whole day - We started the day with a Gaufres Chaud - A yummy hot waffle, a speciality of the city. We spent the day looking around the older part of the city, visiting a funky chocolate museum, walking down a street with around 30 fish restaurants all next to each other selling the same meals with the same menu. I had planned to have lunch at Au Suisse, an apparently famous sandwich shop which is regularly visited by Jean Claude Van Damme, we knew the street it was on but we simply couldn't find it, we ended up going to Pizza Hut. Then, on the way back we saw it...Mannekin Pis! This "symbol of Belgium" is a statue of a little dude having a wee into a pond, it was suprising how many people were surrounding it and doing some pretty wierd poses next to it. Apparently, they dress it up in clothes during events in the city...for us, it was just...naked.
Today, we woke up at 9 and enjoyed a massive breakfast in the Hotel. Feeling ready for the day, we left the hotel and made a Bee Line for the parliment district, the home of the EU. This area was amazing, despite it being to do with the government. Huge glass buildings with pristine parks and lakes. We had a drink in a little cafe where the owner insisted we stayed for lunch. We somehow ended up back in the old district and had another look at Mannekin Pis...who was still...naked. Then we stumbled upon...Au Suisse! Completly out-of-the-blue we wandered round a corner and there is was, in all its glory. I had a chicken mayonnaise baguette which was...DIVINE! I really recommend going to Brussels just for a sandwich there. The day ended with a bit of hurried souvenir shopping (bronze models of Mannekin Pis!) and finishing up the disposable cameras then back to the hotel...for dinner...again (we never ended up going out for dinner). The next day was taken up by travelling and another speedy Eurostar trip.

Hope y'all enjoyed reading that, now onto today! I started the day with a lengthy train journey to Bagshot to deliver a certain something to a certain someone...they were out...which was annoying - I then needed to get from their house (20 mins from station) to the station...in 10 minutes...and I was lost! I met a runner I had seen earlier that morning and talked to him about things, I got splashed by a car and I walked into a lampost while texting someone. I ended up hopping over the barrier on the side of the A30, falling down a hill and leaping over a stream/bog only to fall onto a fence, I found a hole in the fence and I was there...at the station in just under 8 minutes! I got on the train and took it back to Guildford.
I arrived in Guildford at 2ish and went to Boots to get the cameras from Brussels developed and put onto CD. I then had an hour to kill so I made my way to Superdrug to get some face wipes and toothpaste!
On my way to Superdrug I...wait for it...found...£10! It was left on a table outside a cafe, so I went into the Cafe and told them I had found this on one of their tables - The guy just said "It's ok mate, finders keepers eh?" - I was kinda shocked at first, but I would never turn down free money, So I went to superdrug and got my wipes but as I was leaving I realised something, that guy in the cafe could've taken the money and used it for himself, but he didn't, perhaps it was his RAoK - I decided to match kindness with kindness and made my way..to Woolworths. I noticed an offer of 3 for 99p on all Dairy Milk bars. I grabbed 15 bars and went to the cashier - After getting a bag for my bars I offered one to the cashier - He had to decline my offer as it is aginst store policy. Bad start...
I then spent the next 20 minutes walking up to people on the High Street saying "Would you like a chocolate bar", most people said No, but some took the chocolate with glee, one man even shook my hand! On my way up to Boots I walked past Phones4U, they always have their salesmen out on the street stopping people asking whether they are happy with their current whatever...So I walked deliberatly slowly so one of them approached me, "Good Afternoon sir, would you be interested in having free phone calls for a year?" he said, "No, but would you be interested in a free bar of chocolate", he looked taken aback, but he accepted so I walked into Phones4U and gave out 4 chocolate bars to all the people inside, some people asked "What is this for?", I didn't really have answer so I simply said "It's just nice". I ended up giving bars to some firemen, a worried looking old man, a young couple, some ambulance people, a businessman, a council worker, a bus driver and a taxi driver. Oh and I was determined to give a bar to a person who said they can't eat chocolate because they were diabetic. So when getting my photos I bought some "Chocolate Hearts - Suitable for Diabetics", I took these back to him and he was very very happy indeed.
With 2 bars left I collected my photos and was going to make my way to the station when I was taken by suprise by the voice of "Big Issue please?", I thought to myself for a second then made a turn down a sidestreet to the Cornish Pasty Company, I bought 2 Large Cornish Pasties and made my way up the street. I confronted the Big Issue man and asked him whether he wanted a Pasty and a bar of chocolate. He was so happy! He couldn't stop shaking my hand and saying God Bless You - I then looked to my right and saw a very cold looking Golf-Sale man, I offered him the other Pasty and chocolate bar and he gave the same reaction. I stayed and chatted to them both for about 5 minutes before catching my train.
Anyway, that was my day - I've also been in contact with LifeLines, an organisation which sets up contact between people and prisoners on death row. Oh and I've been looking into more volunteer work at local places but nothing has come up yet.

All I can see is white
Yawn...Just got up (11am) - It snowed a lot last night - I would say about half a foot down the road but I can't be sure - Hence, me writing this at midday. Atleast I can get some work done and get ready for Brussels. I hope it melts by tomorrow so I can plant the magazines. I gave the scratchcard to the postman this morning - I've never seen someone so happy to get a scratchcard.

A Snowman Pancake!
Yay - I got my certificate of adoption for Mr. Pancake Tortoise (name TBC) today - It came with a groovy photo that now has pride of place on my shelves. Also, I decided to take on the challenge of making a Snowman, after hours of rolling, scraping, moulding and dressing - My Snowman...was born! (Only to die later when it's head fell off after it started to rain). - Oh and sorry about the socks...not really sure what was happening there... -
Oh and finally, I took a photo of my chicken (Sniff), who was the second part of the chicken double act - Scratch (black) and Sniff (white). So here is proof that I do have a chicken and that it did snow today...kinda obvious really...

Snow Day Maybay?
It's apparently going to snow A LOT tonight so let's all hope for a snow day off school - Or hopefully I'll just be stuck at home. I didn't make a stranger laugh today - Well not to my knowledge atleast. So I am planning 2 decent ones for Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow, if it doesn't snow - I'll be putting some magazines in our common room at school for the whole world to read, I hope I've got a decent selection...Oh and I'll be sticking a scratchcard to my front door with a post-it note on it saying "Good Luck Mr Postman". Easy..but quite nice.

Volunteer in the Vicinity
Going to cinema later to see "Dreamgirls" (yeah???) so I'll add it to the film review section later. Got tonnes of feedback from the competition - Keep the great names coming in. I searched around for volunteer opportunities and I applied to several - They all emailed back today with times and places - So i've decided I'll be helping out when I can at some National Trust parks in the area doing...whatever they do. Tomorrow - "Make a stranger laugh"...Crud.

Strepsil anyone?
"Give a Lemsip drink to someone at work who has a cold" - Hmmm..Surely it would be easier to give strepsils out to anyone with a sore throat - So I did, pretty easy one to do and I hope it helped some people tackle their ailments. I cannot do the one I was planning for tomorrow "Give a scratchcard to a stranger", but this one will go ahead on wednesday (need to buy one). Tomorrow's is "Volunteer one hour a week, just minutes from your home" - I know exactly what to do...

Unsuccessful Seeds and a Text Goodnight
This was a sad day for the Karma Army...I didn't complete my good deed that I said I would...Oh well! Nothing like living for the moment - I have just texted my old babysitter, "Goodnight" hereby completing the "Text somebody goodnight" deed. Oh and I also ADOPTED MY TORTOISE! Now I just need a name and I'll be sorted. I've just finished planning my trip to Brussels with my bro at half term - It's not Copenhagen but it will do for now. Another thing - I ordered my Karma Army T-Shirt, but it's from the USA so I might not get it in time for Friday...The good deed for tomorrow is...a secret until tomorrow's blog!

Rugby and Rainer
Just finished watching England v. Scotland - Yay we won by quite a long way! Went to Guildford today to get some bits and bobs - Would've gone to the cinema but my driver woke up too late. When I first woke up I decided to attempt my international phone call that I mentioned yesterday. I looked around the internet and had trouble finding a number so I used the VoIP Software - Skype. I then went back to the internet to find a sporting event that England didn't win...It wasn't too hard to find one but I decided to congradulate a german person as Germany had recently won the ''Men's World Handball Championships 2007''.
I searched through skype and after several failed attempts I found "Rainer Andrasch". I rung him and he picked up, using my immense german skills I asked him wether he spoked English, luckily he did. So I simply said "Well done on winning the Mens Handball Championship" , he didn't really understand but he said "Thanks you much". I said "Goodbye" and hung up. Another good deed successfully completed...Tomorrow pack o' seeds!

Delightful Day of Nice Nicknames
The RAoK was easy today! I simply called eveyrone by their normal names but with a "nice" adjective before it, some of the names used included - Jolly James, Bodacious Ben or Terrific Tom. I am going to update "..of the week" and post the poll results now. Keep your entries coming for the Pancake Tortoise contest! This weekend I will be "Putting a packet of seeds through somebody's letterbox" and "Phoning an international phone number and congradulate them on a past sporting victory".

Tomorrows will be "Give someone a complimentary nickname for the day - Like "Lovelycheeks" or "Shinyshins". Hmmm...Since when was having Shiny Shins a compliment? Oh and I'll be adopting the tortoise soon, just need to decide on a name...

Turmoil for Tortoise
It's finally getting darker later in the evenings, you can feel Summer on its way! Anyway, the collection for my Pancake Tortoise adoption fund kind of failed as I only managed to raise £4 of of the full £20. So, I've decided to pay the rest myself using some recent eBay profits. Saw Venus tonight, not the planet the film and you can see a full review of it in the Review Section. Finally - The MP that I faxed a while back replied with an email, he writes:
"Dear Oli
Many thanks for the compliment. I am not sure what I have done to
deserve it, but it is very kind of you!
Andrew"
Yeah!!! Anyway - Just gotta ''Smile at everyone you see'' tomorrow so should be relatively easy.

Yeah! We won the "Youth Speaks" quiz...by one point. Thats about all that happened today - I think i've got my address to send the postcard tomorrow..I've got one planned for mid-year which I cannot unfortunatly do now, Give Blood - This should fit in well with my recent agreement to give my organs up for donation after I die. Anyway - Tomorrow's is "Get all your friends to put in £1 and adopt a really unpopular animal at London Zoo (not a monkey everyone does them)". Ok...Mission Adopt a Pancake Tortoise is Underway!

Bad Day
My day wasn't actually too bad - Sky HD Came and I've been playing with that for the past hour or so. Lots of work to do but sadly, I didn't do a "good deed", my proposed one was about being polite to everyone, I suppose I wasn't inpolite to anyone but I didn't really make an effort to be very polite.
Anyway - Tomorrow's is "Send a postcard to someone you hardly know", Ok...firstly I need a postcard..secondly I need an address - Apart from that this should'nt be too hard.

Copenhagen Cancelled and Call Centre Success!
Sadly, the half term trip to Copenhagen was cancelled today due to lack of numbers. I'm not too bothered really - It was extremely short notice for the parents so hopefully we will go there in the future. I signed up to be a donor this morning - This means when I die, all my organs and tissue will be available for transplant, although this is a pretty "Nice" thing, I still had to stick by my rule and phone someone at a call centre and tell them that they're doing a good job. Btw, I failed the Pizza boy challenge as we had beef stroganoff last night so hopefully I can get a pizza tonight.
Anyway - The call centre guy...After the earlier failure of this task with Vodafone customer service I decided to try another company, so I looked around my desk and saw a letter - So I decided to phone "Royal Mail Customer Servies". After waiting on the line for 2 or 3 minutes I finally got through to someone at "Further information on products and services", their name was Steve (this is NOT a lie, just a very odd coincidence that the guy had the same name as the vodafone guy) anyway, Steve spoke first "Hello Steve Speaking, Welcome to Royal Mail customer services product line,How may a help you today", I replied "Hello Steve, I just phoned to say that I think you're doing a top job, well done", He pauses and says "Thank you very much sir, I really appreciate your opinion, Is there anything else?", "Nope", he laughs "Ok then, thank you and goodbye sir". Success!!! I did it!

Pizza Boy
Less cold today and several problems with the other people planning to come to Copenhagen - I hope(nhagen) that we can fix it up by the end of the weekend. I have to give a "slice of pizza back to the delivery boy" tonight and my acts for the weekend will include "Be unfailingly polite to everyone you meet" and "Phone someone at a call centre and tell them they're doing a good job" - I've done both of these before but I knew I would come back to old ones by doing them all in order.

Copenhagen and the Chef
Another very cold day, starting to put my Copenhagen trip into action - Just need to get permission for my parents then I'm all clear...Just hope it's as easy as it sounds - Hopefully sending my compliments to the chef (my mum) will ease her desicion.

I sent my compliments to the nun
I did it! I bellowed a cheery hello to a nun that "lives" at our school. I had to explain everything about the book to her and she kindly gave me an interesting lesson on being a nun, not my primary career path, but you never know. Following my pattern of doing them in order, I have to "Send my compliments to the chef", which may be hard...seeing as I have packed lunch...Oh, and it snowed to
